Airborne Technologies and Smith Myers announce ARTEMIS+ integration

Airborne Technologies and Smith Myers have announced the award of another integration contract that will see Airborne Technologies equip a De Haviland Twin Otter aircraft with a complete sensor suite and two state-of-the-art Airborne LINX workstations, for a European Law Enforcement Agency.

The aircraft will feature two dual-screen operator workstations, an observer station, and an Airborne LINX Mission Management Unit, ensuring unparalleled functionality and efficiency.
In addition to the Smith Myers ARTEMIS+, the comprehensive AIRBORNE LINX surveillance suite integrated into the aircraft will include the following advanced components:
• Flir Star SAFIRE EOIR system
• IMSAR Radar System
• ECS Downlink
• SHOTOVER Moving Map
• AEM Mission Digital Audio System
• Radio Communication Suite

“This is not our first integration with our partners at Airborne Technologies. But this will be the first for our newly released ARTEMIS+, marking another significant milestone of success with our friends at Airborne Technologies,” said Andrew Munro, Managing Director, Smith Myers.
This significant contract, announced at Farnborough International Airshow, will see deliveries starting in 2025.
